This is so un true salt water can't be frozen!!
Salt water can be frozen. Just at a much colder temperature. Even if the ocean was at maximum salt dissolution, somewhere around 23% salt to 77% water, it could still freeze. It's freezing point would be roughly -10 degrees Fahrenheit. But that doesn't matter, because he is freezing the water instantaneously, which means he is achieving at least -40 degrees Fahrenheit. Although, it is just a cartoon where people eat magical fruit and have magical powers with their half animal friends that can talk. Thanks for letting me revisit my college science classes though.
^Well Aokiji is incarnate of ice, so there is logic behind that, meaning he can go into any temperature of ice. Probably even Absolute Zero (0 kelvin).
Also, not all people eat Devil Fruits in the show. Also, Eating two of them is suicide.
The Logia's are probably the only fruit category that follows real world logic since they are elements. Zoans are fruits that allow one to be their original form, Half of their original form and the animal they got or a Full animal (i.e. I can eat the fruit, stay human, transform into a half human half animal or turn full animal). As for the animal friend that talks whose name is Chopper if you didn't know, he ate a fruit too. A fruit that gives him human knowledge. In his case, he can be half or full reindeer or near full human. Paramecia is your crazy shit a.k.a. Super-Humans.
One Piece isn't just about people eating magical fruits and having magical powers. It's far more than that.

Sea water just weakens Fruit users, they can still use their powers. An example of this would be when Luffy had the concrete stuck to his feet and they had to stretch his neck all the way to the surface during the Arlong Arc. The thing about the salt water freezing at a lower temperature is also true, what a nice revisit to Chemistry! :]

yeah they can still touch the sea water... if he is submerged then he cant move... not that his power will be removed.... sea water will weaken only the user...
They can't use their powers underwater. Paramecia types are an exception where in external forces can manipulate their body for them if possible.

notice that at 28:48 luffy suddenly defrost with no reason and uses his gatling gun with both hands unfrozen
and why doesn't Nami just use her heat ball to defrost at the site? instead of going all the way to the ship
and i'm sure that the ocean is cold water, there's no way sanji and zozo can just defrost in it

when Luffy was fighting with Ao Kiji, his arm did look like it was defrosted as he was getting ready to use his "Gomu gomu no Storm" move, but the reason he used that one is because his left arm was frozen
if he had tried to use the Gatling gun move, it wouldnt have been as effective, but the spin on his Storm move compensates for only being able to use one arm
so Luffy was only using ONE arm before he got completely frozen
also, Nami's heat ball isn't warm enough to be able to defrost anything
on top of that, if they hadn't taken Robin back to the ship, Ao Kiji would have just kept trying to smash her, which is why they couldn't stay where they were with Robin in her frozen state
and about the ocean part, it's true that ocean water is cold, but ice will melt in any type of water, just as long as the ocean water isn't as cold as the ice
the only way the water would be as cold as the ice would be if it WAS ice, so the ocean water CAN defrost Zoro and Sanji's frozen limbs
but yes, the show is different from the manga in certain areas

& Devil's Fruit users can still touch the sea, but if they touch it too long, they will get weaken. So that doesn't mean they can get weaken that quickly if they touch the sea.
example: When Luffy was doing that Davy Back thing, in the first round they had to race. Luffy uses the wood in the sea to go faster but he was later weaken cuz he has his hands in the ocean for too long.

Actually Ice and Water can have the same temperature. If you take an iceblock of fresh water (0 or -1 degrees) down to the bottom of any cold sea (i guess) Where the freezing point would be lower. You can store Ice in water. F. eks. If you drop a freshwater iceblock under the ice caps at the north pole where the temperature is about -4 degrees, you will have water around your iceblock that is colder than the iceblock itself. (talking degrees Celcius here :p )
